The Musée du Grand Siècle enriches its collection of still lifes

15/10/25 - Acquisition - Saint-Cloud, Musée du Grand Siècle - The Musée du Grand Siècle had recently acquired two still lifes, both in 2022. One, offered by the La Marck foundation (see the news item of 2/10/22), and a second, by Renaud Levieux, acquired at auction by the association of the Amis du Musée (see the news item of 24/4/22).
A third still life (ill. 1) has just entered the collections of the future museum, whose construction site, which we had the chance to visit, is progressing remarkably. It is a painting by Jacques Samuel Bernard, depicting a flower vase placed on a stone entablature, signed and dated 1657.
