30/3/20 - Acquisitions - Toledo (Ohio), Toledo Museum of Art - Outre le XVIIe siècle (voir la brève du 27/3/20), le Toledo Museum of Art a récemment enrichi ses collections de deux œuvres du XIXe siècle.
Un groupe de moutons et de poules peint en 1863 par le Belge Eugène Verboeckhoven a été donné par un mécène du musée (ill. 1). L’artiste se forma d’abord chez son père, le sculpteur Barthélemy Verboeckhoven, puis à Gand auprès du sculpteur Albert Joseph Voituron et du peintre Balthazar Paul Ommeganck.
