Un Blanchard, un Mondrian et un Bonnard offerts au Dallas Museum of Art

5/2/18 - Acquisitions - Dallas, Museum of Art - Le 5 juin 2014 se vendait chez Sotheby’s New York une toile identifiée comme « French School, 18th Century », que nous avions signalée le lendemain (voir la brève du 6/6/14) comme un tableau probablement de Jacques Blanchard (ill. 1).
Cette peinture avait été, alors qu’Olivier Meslay était encore conservateur au Dallas Museum of Art, achetée par ses amis collectionneurs Thomas C. and Jeanne Campbell. Ceux-ci viennent d’en faire don au musée, sous sa juste attribution désormais reconnue par tous. L’œuvre y était déjà exposée après y avoir été restaurée.
