19/12/23 - Acquisition - Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte - 19/12/23 - Acquisition - Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte - With the support of its Friends association, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte wanted to acquire a Gobelins tapestry for which it had launched a fundraising campaign (see the news item of 6/10/23). The tapestry was eventually preempted by the Musée du Louvre (see news item of 13/10/23). The château told us at the time that the funds would be used for another forthcoming acquisition. This one has just been made, from the Aaron gallery.
