The poster for an exhibition must be both appealing and relevant, catching the eye of the passer-by, giving them an idea of the subject and the desire to learn more in the blink of an eye. The choice is rarely obvious.
To announce the exhibition devoted to Maximilien Luce, the Musée de Montmartre relied on a safe bet: a poster showing a Neo-Impressionist landscape shimmering with colors (ill. 1).
