Le Musée de Valence en Espagne complète, grâce à une dation, le retable de la Résurrection de Vrancke der Stockt

2/4/04 – Acquisition – Valence, Museo de Bellas Artes San Pio V – L’état espagnol vient d’accepter, à destination de ce musée, la dation [1] de deux volets latéraux d’un retable. Il est attribué à Vrancke Van der Stockt (vers 1424 - vers 1495), un artiste très proche de Rogier Van der Weyden auquel il a succédé en 1464 à la charge de Peintre de la ville de Bruxelles [2]. Cette acquisition devrait permettre de reconstituer à Valence un triptyque du Jugement dernier, démembré il y a 150 ans, et dont le panneau central appartient à la ville.
