6/9/19 - Acquisition - Londres, British Museum - La collection de John Christian (1942-2016), historien de l’art spécialiste des préraphaélites auxquels il a consacré plusieurs expositions [1], a rejoint par dation le British Museum. Elle est riche de quelque 900 œuvres dont 500 céramiques, surtout des pièces du XIXe, du XXe et du XXIe siècle, parmi lesquelles on compte des réalisations des Français Ernest Chaplet et Auguste Delaherche. L’ensemble regroupe aussi 250 œuvres graphiques, dessins, estampes et aquarelles, de John Ruskin, Ford Madox Brown, Dante Gabriel…
