Une terre cuite de la manufacture du Buen Retiro pour le Museo Arqueológico Nacional

14/8/12 - Acquisition - Madrid, Museo Arqueológico Nacional - Célèbre grâce au portrait que Goya fit de lui, Bartolomé Sureda y Miserol (1746-1828) fut le directeur de la manufacture royale de porcelaine du Buen Retiro. Celle-ci fut créée à Madrid en 1760 par Charles III, dans la lignée de la manufacture qu’il avait ouverte à Capodimonte - allant jusqu’à faire venir à Madrid les artistes qui travaillaient à Naples -, et produisit de nombreuses pièces destinées à orner les demeures royales.
