17/5/06 – Acquisition – Paris, Musée du Louvre – Depuis vingt-cinq ans, le Louvre a acquis de nombreux primitifs siennois : Sassetta (Saint Nicolas de Bari) en 1981 ; deux panneaux de Pietro di Giovanni d’Ambrogio en1984 ; Pietro Lorenzetti (L’Adoration des Mages) et Ugolino di Nerio (Vierge à l’enfant) en 1986 ; à nouveau Sassetta (La Damnation de l’âme de l’avare de Citerna) en 1988 et Ambrogio Lorenzetti (Vierge à l’enfant) en 1998.
