Un portrait d’Antonio Barberini acquis par le Palais Barberini
12/10/22 - Acquisition - Rome, Palazzo Barberini - Outre la Cléopâtre de Lanfranco (voir la brève du 4/10/22), le Palais Barberini s’est récemment enrichi du portrait d’Antonio Barberini peint par Simone Cantarini. Adjugée 22 580 euros dans une vente Finearte du 15 septembre 2020 à Rome, acquise par l’État italien et déposée au musée romain, l’œuvre a été présentée au public au printemps dernier. Elle a rejoint les portraits peints et sculptés de la famille Barberini - et notamment du pape Urbain VIII - sculptés par le Bernin, Giuliano Finelli, Lorenzo Ottoni, ou peints par Carlo Maratta.
