29/6/24 - Acquisition - Rennes, Musée des Beaux-Arts - Thanks to the generosity of our readers, the Self-portrait (ill. 1) for which we launched a fundraising campaign in association with the Sauvegarde de l’Art français (see news item of 13/6/23) will be acquired by the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rennes. In just one week we were able to raise the €4 500 needed to acquire it from its owner, a descendant of the artist’s family.

Fundraising got off to a very quick start, with us raising almost €1,000 in just a few days, thanks to donations from several people who have agreed to be named [1]. And…
