Le musée de Stockholm acquiert un tableau d’Hubert Robert

22/11/18 - Acquisitions - Stockholm, Nationalmuseum - Hubert Robert aimait peindre les ruines, il aimait aussi concevoir des jardins. C’est ce que rappelle la récente acquisition du Nationalmuseum de Stockholm, un petit tableau montrant des embarcations près d’une grotte, adjugé 72 500 € lors d’une vente de Muizon-Rieunier le 27 juin 2018 à Drouot.

Il représente le domaine de Méréville, dans l’Essonne. Le marquis de Laborde, riche financier, acheta le château en 1784 et fit remplacer les jardins à la française par un parc à l’anglaise. Il s’adressa d’abord…
