Michelin’s patronage through the Fondation pour la Sauvegarde de l’Art Français
28/8/25 - Patronage - Private patronage plays an increasingly important role in the preservation of public heritage. But it still needs to be solicited. This is one of the missions of the Fondation pour la Sauvegarde de l’Art français (Foundation for the Safeguarding of French Art): seeking funding to restore treasures that are often little-known and neglected.
Since 2017, the association has partnered with the Michelin Corporate Foundation to identify artworks in poor condition in various municipalities, those located near the company’s thirteen industrial sites across France. A campaign is conducted each year, titled “On the road to the largest museum in France.” Around 600 Michelin employees are invited to take part in this treasure hunt by reporting objects, monuments, sculptures…
