Deux acquisitions du CMN pour Rambouillet et Azay-le-Rideau

30/1/20 - Acquisitions - Rambouillet, Azay-le-Rideau et Bowdoin College Museum - Grâce à la participation de la Fondation La Marck, mécène régulier des musées français [1], le Centre des Musées Nationaux a pu s’enrichir aujourd’hui à New York, chez Sotheby’s, d’un portrait de Joseph Jean-Baptiste Fleuriau d’Armenonville par Hyacinthe Rigaud (ill. 1), adjugé pour 200 000 dollars, frais compris. Il rejoindra le château de Rambouillet dont le CMN a la charge, Fleuriau ayant été le propriétaire du domaine entre 1699 et 1706 et à l’origine de la transformation du parc en jardin à la française.
