8/10/17 - Acquisition - Saint-Mihiel, Musée d’Art sacré - La statue de sainte Élisabeth qui vient d’être léguée au Musée d’Art sacré de Saint-Mihiel par monsieur Dominique Reyre est une récente découverte même si sa trace peut être remontée jusqu’au XVIIe siècle. Elle se trouvait en effet en 1670 sur un autel latéral de l’église Saint-Étienne à Saint-Mihiel. À la fin du XIXe siècle, on la retrouve dans un jardin de la rue des Tisserands, et restaurée une première fois de manière un peu drastique (des bras lui sont notamment ajoutés de manière un peu arbitraire).
