Un tableau de Véronèse offert au Worcester Art Museum

24/8/13 - Acquisition - Worcester, Art Museum - Hester Diamond, une collectionneuse new-yorkaise, vient d’offrir au Worcester Art Museum une toile de Véronèse, Vénus désarmant Cupidon (ill. 1). Elle l’avait acquise chez Christie’s en 1990. La maison de vente, à qui le vendeur avait présenté ce tableau comme dû au « Cercle de François Boucher » l’avait alors correctement rendu au peintre vénitien.
