Un Landseer pour Washington

16/2/20 - Acquisition - Washington, National Gallery of Art - La National Gallery de Washington a acquis en octobre dernier, de la galerie Matthiesen à Londres, ce que l’on peut certainement considérer comme le premier chef-d’œuvre d’Edwin Landseer, qu’il exposa à 18 ans, en 1820, à la Oil and Watercolour Exhibition à Spring Gardens : Saint-bernards réanimant un voyageur [1] (ill. 1).
