Le Metropolitan Museum acquiert une œuvre de Juan Gris

19/9/18 - Acquisition - New York Metropolitan - Parmi les nombreux chefs-d’œuvre de la collection Rockefeller mis en vente par Christie’s entre le 1er et 11 mai 2018 à New York, la Table du musicien adjugée 31,8 millions de dollars, a rejoint les collections du Metropolitan Museum of Art grâce au mécénat de Leonard A. Lauder.

Celui-ci s’était déjà engagé en 2013 a donner au musée quelque 78 œuvres de Pablo Picasso, George Braque, Fernand Léger et Juan Gris en sa possession, un ensemble impressionnant qu’il a enrichi depuis par d’autres…
