8/9/17 - Souscription - Château de Villandry - Alors que tant de châteaux se vident de leur mobilier historique, le propriétaire de Villandry, Henri Carvallo, cherche au contraire à le remeubler, si possible en achetant des objets d’art qui en proviennent. C’est ainsi qu’il souhaite acquérir de la galerie Aveline un guéridon (ill. 1) commandé par Jérôme Bonaparte qui habita brièvement ce château. Le meuble y demeura jusqu’à la fin du XIXe siècle puis quitta l’édifice après sa vente en 1894. Dû à l’ébéniste Jacob Desmalter, il est plaqué d’acajou et son plateau inclue neufs médaillons…
