Le Getty met en ligne 250 ouvrages accessibles gratuitement

9/3/14 – Internet – Récemment, le Metropolitan Museum proposait ses publications épuisées en téléchargement gratuit (voir la brève du 11/10/12). Désormais, c’est le Getty qui propose ainsi les livres qu’il édite gratuitement, qu’ils soient épuisés ou encore disponibles sur papier [1]. Pour l’instant, ce sont 250 ouvrages publiés tant par le Getty Museum que par le Getty Conservation Institute et le Getty Research Institute qui viennent ainsi d’être mis à la disposition des internautes. D’autres seront progressivement ajoutés à cette liste.

Parmi les livres proposés, on trouve des catalogues d’exposition (Rubens and Brueghel : a Working Friendship, Oudry’s Painted Menagerie: Portraits of Exotic Animals in Eigthteenth-Century France, Painting on Light: Drawings and Stained Glass…
