29/11/16 - Acquisition - Londres, Tate Britain - À Grez-sur-Loing, non loin de Barbizon, vivait dans la second moitié du XIXe siècle une communauté d’artistes notamment scandinaves et anglo-saxons ; parmi eux, William Stott of Oldham peignit Le Passeur sur les rives du Loing.
L’œuvre, qu’on avait pu voir en 2015 à la TEFAF sur le stand de la Fine Art Society, a été acquise par la Tate Britain, grâce à la participation financière de The Art Fund, The Heritage Lottery Fund et la Hintze Family Charitable Foundation.
