Frescoes by Annibale Carracci reinstalled at the Prado
10/11/25 Musée - Madrid, Museo del Prado - The history of the frescoes of the Herrera Chapel is interesting on several counts: it allows us to discuss the final years of a great master of the Italian Baroque and the essential role of his workshop, to trace the fate of works removed from the monument for which they were conceived, to address the question of the most suitable museographic choice to display them, but also the necessary collaboration between museums.
