The Musée de Picardie purchases a painting by Arnould de Vuez
15/6/25 - Acquisition - Amiens, Musée de Picardie - We regularly discuss the great Mays of Notre-Dame de Paris on this website. They were recently the subject of a remarkable monograph published by Arthena (see article), of an exhibition at the Mobilier National featuring all those still preserved in the cathedral (see article), and of the acquisition by museums of sketches and autographed replicas. We refer to these articles for more information on this tradition, which began in 1630 [1] and ended in 1708.
