21/12/24 - Acquisition - Limoges, Musée des Beaux-Arts - Suzanne Valadon has been in the spotlight for several years now: the Musée de Montmartre devoted an exhibition to her to mark the 150th anniversary of her birth in 2015, alongside her son Maurice Utrillo and her companion André Utter. Then, in 2020, the Limoges and Brou museums decided to present "Valadon and her contemporaries. Painters and sculptresses, 1880-1940", a project that was unfortunately transformed by Covid into a virtual exhibition. Abroad, in 2022 the Glyptotek in Copenhagen celebrated the woman who was "model, painter, rebel".
