19/4/24 - Appointment - Paris, Musée d’Orsay - Since the announcement of Christophe Leribault’s departure for Versailles last February (see the news item of 9/2/24), this was one of the most eagerly awaited appointments. Although a short list of candidates had been whispered about since then, nothing seemed to point specifically to Sylvain Amic, whose appointment as president of the Musée d’Orsay and the Musée de l’Orangerie was announced yesterday evening in a press release from the Ministry of Culture, confirming a report in Le Figaro published a few hours earlier.
