Acquisition de caricatures de Nadar

4/12/04 – Acquisitions - Musée Carnavalet et Bibliothèque nationale - L’étude Tajan vendait hier, à l’Hôtel Drouot, 273 dessins de caricatures par Nadar, préparatoires au fameux Panthéon Nadar, un ensemble de lithographies représentant les célébrités de l’époque. Seule la première planche, consacrée aux écrivains et journalistes, fut publiée en 1854. Il fut assisté dans cette entreprise par divers artistes tels que Célestin Nanteuil, Thomas Couture et Darjou.
