A painting by Giandomenico Tiepolo purchased by the Getty
22/6/25 - Acquisition - Los Angeles, The J. Paul Getty Museum - The Getty Museum announced in early May that a painting by Giandomenico Tiepolo has joined the four drawings by the artist already held in its collections, which also include two paintings and several sheets by his illustrious father Giambattista. This portrait of a A Bearded Man Wearing a Turban was sold at Christie’s in New York in January 2024, where it fetched $945,000 including fees (i.e., €823,777).
