Une colombe du XIIIe siècle pour Poughkeepsie

6/3/17 - Acquisition - Poughkeepsie (New York) The Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center Vassar College - Le Saint Esprit a rejoint le musée de Poughkeepsie, sous la forme, comme souvent, d’une colombe. Composée de feuilles de cuivre gravées, dorées et ornées d’émaux champlevés, elle a été réalisée à Limoges dans la première moitié du XIIIe siècle. L’œuvre, qui était passée dans la collection de Frédéric Spitzer (vendue en 1893), a été mise en vente chez Sotheby’s le 26 janvier 2017 à New York et adjugée 792 500 dollars.
