Nomination de James Cuno à la tête de l’Art Institute of Chicago

22/1/04 – Nomination – Chicago, Art Institute – James Cuno, âgé de 52 ans et actuel directeur du Courtauld Institute, vient d’être nommé à la tête de l’Art Institute of Chicago à partir du mois de septembre 2004. Il ne sera resté qu’un an directeur de l’institut londonien. Auparavant, il avait été enseignant en histoire de l’art, puis en charge des Harvard University Art Museums de 1991 à 2003.
Un nouveau bâtiment pour l’Art Institute de Chicago doit être construit prochainement par Renzo Piano, chantier que sera chargé de conduire James Cuno.
