Il nous parle encore de deux tableaux italiens du XVIIe siècle : un chef-d’œuvre de Tanzio da Varallo et une grande toile d’un artiste peu connu, Giovanni Battista Lenardi, dont l’histoire, du Met au Lacma, mérite d’être contée.
