14/8/25- Acquisition and restoration - Sarreguemines, Musée de la faïence - Cleopatra is in the spotlight at the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris [1], and she is also celebrated in Sarreguemines: the Musée de la Faïence has recently acquired and restored a panel representing the Queen of Egypt, attributed to Alexandre Sandier. The work was presented at the latest edition of Brafa in Brussels, on the stand of Marc Maison, a dealer from Saint-Ouen. A public subscription, in partnership with the Fondation du Patrimoine (Heritage Foundation), was launched last March to support its purchase as well as its restoration.
