Two paintings by Larivière for Amiens
27/5/25 - Acquisitions - Amiens, Musée de Picardie - Charles-Philippe Larivière, a history painter and student of Girodet and Gros, is a posthumous friend of Amiens, if we dare say so. His studio collection was bequeathed to the Musée de Picardie by his daughter Louise Larivière, who married the painter Albert Maignan to whom the museum will devote a retrospective from 28 June until 4 January next year.
