13/10/13 - Acquisition - Richmond, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts - Lors de la recension de la dernière foire de Maastricht sur ce site, nous avions reproduit un bureau plat de Jean-Henri Riesener présenté par la Galerie Perrin à Paris. Ce meuble, qui appartenait à la collection du prince et de la princesse Joachim Murat, dispersée en 1961, a été acquis par le Virginia Museum of Fine Arts de Richmond.

Né en Allemagne en 1734, Riesener vint en France vers 1754 où il fit son apprentissage avec Jean-François Oeben dont il reprit l’atelier après sa mort, produisant ainsi des meuble…
