Un tableau d’Augustin Bernard d’Agesci pour le Berkeley Art Museum

20/10/17- Acquisition - Berkeley, Art Museum - Le musée de l’Université de Californie, le Berkeley Art Museum, a acheté à la galerie Éric Coatalem un tableau d’Augustin Bernard, dit Bernard d’Agesci, représentant Acis et Galatée (ill. 1). Fort peu connu, les principales informations sur cet artiste se trouvent dans un article de Pierre Rosenberg et Colin Bailey publié dans le Burlington Magazine [1] dont nous avons tiré les renseignements biographiques qui suivent.
