1/1/17 - Acquisition - Édimbourg, National Galleries of Scotland - Un pastel de Claude Monet a fait l’objet d’une dation (acceptance in lieu) à l’État britannique ; il vient de rejoindre les National Galleries of Scotland qui conservent plusieurs toiles de l’artiste. L’œuvre appartenait à Valerie Middleton, descendante de Royan Middleton ; cet Écossais, imprimeur et éditeur d’Aberdeen, était aussi un amateur d’art qui collectionnait Monet, Van Gogh ou encore Modigliani, entre autres.
Le pastel avait d’ailleurs été prêté en 2011 à l’Aberdeen Art Gallery. Il…
