20/3/12 - Acquisition - Boston, Museum of Fine Art - Le 28 avril 2010, un tableau de Frans Francken (ill. 1) avait fait sensation en se vendant 7 022 000 € au Dorotheum à Vienne. En tout point exceptionnel dans l’œuvre de l’artiste, tant par sa taille que par son ambition et sa qualité, celui-ci avait été adjugé au marchand Johnny van Haeften qui, si l’on en croit Paul Jeromack sur Artnet, l’aurait acheté sans le voir, empêché de se rendre en Autriche par l’éruption du volcan islandais.
