Un tableau de Pompeo Batoni pour Ottawa

16/3/12 - Acquisition - Ottawa, Musée des Beaux-Arts du Canada - Au premier salon Paris-Tableau, la galerie Canesso présentait une superbe toile de Pompeo Batoni, Vulcain dans sa forge (ill. 1). L’œuvre a immédiatement séduit Paul Lang, le directeur adjoint et conservateur en chef des peintures du Musée des Beaux-Arts du Canada, qui vient juste de concrétiser son achat.
