Un tableau de Lo Spagna pour la National Gallery de Londres

12/8/22 - Acquisition - Londres, The National Gallery - Le Portement de croix est en général un épisode de la Passion qui inspire aux peintres des compositions animées dans lesquelles s’agglutinent les saintes femmes et les bourreaux. Lo Spagna choisit au contraire une mise en scène dépouillée, ne montrant que le Christ dans un paysage (ill. 1).
