11/3/06 – Acquisition - Saint-Quentin, Musée Antoine Lécuyer - Le musée de Saint-Quentin est fameux pour sa collection de pastels de Maurice Quentin de La Tour, qui naquit dans cette ville en 1704.
Cet ensemble est constitué pour l’essentiel de son fonds d’atelier légué par son frère Jean-François. Il était donc naturel que le musée acquît en vente publique [1] le Portrait du frère Fiacre, que l’artiste conserva toute sa vie mais qui fut vendu en 1810 au profit d’une institution charitable [2].

Le personnage portraituré était un franciscain du tiers ordre régulier appartenant au couvent…
