Quatre dessins de Bernard Picart achetés par Port-Royal

13/2/19 - Acquisition - Magny-les-Hameaux, Musée national de Port-Royal - Bernard Picart fera l’objet d’une exposition au Musée de Port-Royal des Champs à partir du 21 mars prochain. Organisée à l’occasion du Salon du dessin, elle mettra en valeur les talents de dessinateur de ce graveur qui fit carrière en fournissant des illustrations aux éditeurs hollandais.
En effet, Bernard Picart, qui fut à Paris l’élève de son père Etienne Picart, de Benoit Audran et de Sébastien Leclerc, effectua un premier voyage aux Pays-Bas en 1696-1698 avant de s’y installer en 1710.
