The aim here is to report on their publication, possibly adding a brief description explaining what the book is about (or publishing the information given by the publisher on the back cover) and sometimes making a judgement on the form. These are not real reviews as we will not have read the books at this stage. Some of them will be the subject of fuller articles later on.

This book, which accompanies the exhibition currently on show at the Fondation Custodia in Paris - from 17 June to 17 September 2023 - following its first two parts at the Mauritshuis in The Hague and the Alte Pinakothek, Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen in Munich, is the monograph-catalogue raisonné published in May 2021 as part of the international research project on Jacobus Vrel conducted by the three institutions since 2018. There are English and German versions.
