Un Turner pour le Norwich Castle Museum

16/7/19 - Acquisition - Norfolk, Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery - Le droit de rétention britannique se révèle une nouvelle fois salvateur pour le Royaume-Uni. Un paysage de Turner représentant le Walton Bridge vendu 3 370 000 £ (sans les frais) à un collectionneur étranger chez Sotheby’s Londres le 4 juillet 2018 rejoint finalement les collections publiques britanniques. La suspension temporaire de son exportation a permis aux Norfolk Museums - grâce au soutien du National Lottery Heritage Fund et d’Art Fund - de s’en porter acquéreur.
