Three new Eugène Boudins for Giverny

1/8/23 - Acquisitions - Giverny, Musée des Impressionnismes - A precursor of Impressionism, close to Jongkind and Monet, Eugène Boudin entered the Musée des Impressionnismes in 2020. Acquired from the Galerie de la Présidence, his panel Deauville, le bassin was immediately included in the exhibition Reflets d’une collection, which brought together a decade of acquisitions (see article). Since then, three new works in his hand have joined it: two pastels acquired respectively from the Galerie de la Présidence (ill. 1) and the Galerie de Bayser (ill. 2) in 2022 - thanks to the support of the Cercle des Mécènes for one and David Ummels for the other - and a new panel recently donated by Christophe and Teresa Karvelis Senn (ill. 3).
