17/9/24 - Publication - Cahiers du dessin - In our review of the Jean Daret retrospective, which closes on 29 September, we reported that the Musée Granet had been able to preempt nine drawings from a sale held in Béziers on 19 March 2024. This comprised a collection of sixty-four sheets that had not been identified as being by this artist, but which connoisseurs - both the Musée Granet and certain dealers - had been able to attribute correctly. In addition to a handful of purchases by private collectors and the museum, the works were sold to the De Bayser gallery and Nicolas Schwed.

All these works (including the verso of the double-sided drawings) have now been published by Galerie De Bayser in a new issue of "Cahier du dessin français",…
