Two sketches by Henri Lehmann donated to Carnavalet

8/9/24 - Acquisitions - Musée Carnavalet and Musée Bonnat-Helleu - The Musée Carnavalet recently received a gift from Mr and Mrs Caillot of two painted studies for figures of prophets in preparation for the spandrels of the dome of the chapel of the Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles (ill. 1 and 2). One represents Isaiah, the other Ezekiel. These are two oil paintings on paper mounted on cardboard that have never been seen before.
