Two italian drawings for San Francisco
23/7/26 - Acquisitions - San Francisco, Fine Arts Museums, Legion of Honor - It was one of the finest sheets offered at the last TEFAF in March (see the article), on Benjamin Peronnet’s stand, where it obviously did not take long to find a buyer: this extremely rare preparatory cartoon for the fresco running around the dome of the cupola of the church of Sant’Agnese in Rome is therefore crossing the Atlantic once again to become one of the highlights of the graphic arts collections of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. Thanks to the Phyllis C.
