Three glassworks by Félix Bracquemond preempted by the Petit Palais

14/3/25 - Acquisition - Paris, Petit Palais, Musée des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris - Among the recent acquisitions announced by the Petit Palais at the beginning of the year (see the news items of 15/1/25 and 23/1/25), three glassworks by Félix Bracquemond have joined its collections. Already on display on the ground floor of the museum, they were acquired last spring during the major Marie and Félix Bracquemond sale organised by Artcurial (see the news item of 21/3/24). One hundred and sixty-four lots were dispersed, coming directly from the descendants of the artists, among which were ten or so glass pieces by Félix Bracquemond, a lesser-known part of his oeuvre, particularly rare on the art market.
