8/10/25 - Restoration - Paris, Notre-Dame-de-Lorette - Of the four corner chapels in the church of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, two had already been restored in recent years: the Chapelle des Baptêmes, to the right as you enter, painted by Adolphe Roger (see the news item of 27/12/16), and the Chapelle des Litanies de la Vierge by Victor Orsel, at the back left (see the news item of 12/10/20).
A third, the Chapelle des Morts, to the left at the entrance, painted by Merry-Joseph Blondel (ill. 1), has in turn just undergone a remarkable restoration. Credit must once again be given to Karen Taïeb, Deputy for Heritage at the Paris City…
