As part of my second-year Master’s thesis in art history at the École du Louvre, I am dedicating my study to the artistic career of the Bayonne-born painter Hubert Denis Etcheverry.
I aim to deepen our understanding of his work by establishing a corpus that goes beyond public collections. I am therefore looking for paintings, sketches, drawings, as well as any other documentation held in private collections. This would greatly help me reassess the few existing studies devoted to him and more accurately reconstruct the artist’s world.
