The Musée du Mont-de-Piété in Bergues is preparing an exhibition dedicated to the painter Charles Péquin (1879–1963).

A native of Nantes, he studied under Jean-Paul Laurens at the École des Beaux-Arts.
After making his debut at the Salon des Artistes Français, he exhibited at the Salon d’Automne and the Salon des Indépendants. His work, influenced by Cézanne, with its soft tones and subtle nuances, was praised by Elie Faure.

We invite collectors, gallery owners and auctioneers to contact the museum.
